Building a career in a new country can be exciting, but it often comes with uncertainty. Many highly qualified professionals invest significant time in applications, CV updates, and interview preparation, yet still struggle to understand why opportunities seem difficult to access.
In this seminar, we explore a different perspective on the job search. We will draw on insights from recruitment, career development, networking, and the experiences of international professionals who successfully built careers in Germany. This session focuses on how you can reduce uncertainty for employers while increasing your professional visibility. We will combine real-world stories, actionable advice, and proven approaches to help you build momentum, confidence, and resilience throughout your career journey.
About the Speaker – Mevin S. Govindan
Mevin S. Govindan is a Career & Networking Strategist and, in his full-time role, a senior operations and governance leader at a global insurance group in Munich. Over 17+ years, his career has spanned pharmaceutical operations, procurement, sales, recruitment, and financial services.
He moved to Munich two years ago with his wife and four-year-old son, and has since built a network of 17,000+ genuine professional connections — one real conversation at a time.
Mevin holds an MBA in Project Management, and is a Certified Life Coach and NLP Master Practitioner. He brings a dual lens to the stage: the analytical rigor of a corporate strategist, and the lived, practical honesty of someone who had to build a career and a network in Germany from scratch.
